MENEND- SLIVERS OF LOVE ALBUM REVIEW
MenEnd went to social media on January, 2017 to promise a new project this year. His debut album is titled Slivers Of Love and was released the 16th of December 2017. It is a twelve song project that opens with a gospel collaboration with teen female singer Shell Puppy and continuously bounces from R&B / Hip Hop with contemporary trap sounds and astonishing vocals/lyricism such as “All the Love I Got to Give”, “Missing Ya / Petty” or “Running Man ft. Yung Gogs”, to various forms of Pop music, such as indie influenced “Timeless” or “Trust in You”, that reminds of the production on The Weeknd’s own Starboy album. One of the highlights of the album is “Classic”, a stripped down ballad in which MenEnd sings over a electric guitar, played by his good friend and fellow artist Bloodfrench (also guitar on “Timeless”). The artist showcases his Spanish roots on “Quién? ft. Dirty Suc” a reggeton/trap song fully performed in Spanish. The album is already an impressive piece of work. Not to mention, Menend being 21 years old and the fact that he produced the entire album with a microphone and a laptop in his home studio makes it a real accomplishment. This album really highlights his three skills; singing, songwriting and producing.

Slivers of Love (que salió el16de diciembre) esel album debut de MenEnd y la demostración definitiva desus talentos tanto como artista y cantante como productor de música urbana. Nacido en Madrid, España donde vivió hasta los 18 años, MenEnd (a.k.a Javier Toledo, 1996) esun artista autodidacta e independiente de música pop/R&B urbano. MenEnd comenzó su carrera a los 16 años cuando se reunió con un sello internacional con el que estuvo trabajando durante un año sin terminar de llegar a ningún tipo de contrato. A los 18 años MenEnd se mudó a Santa Cruz, California para estudiar, donde fundó su sello All Back Records, S.L. Después de sacar varios proyectos y singles y desarrollar un seguimiento defans pequeño pero fiel, MenEnd sacó su primer videoclip oficial en Youtube para su single “Oblivion”, el cual fue seguido por algunos otros singles y finalmente su primer EP“Soulpox” (octubre de 2016) con 5 temas demúsica R&B/Soul. El proyecto vino acompañado de dos videos para las canciones “Autumn in Spring” y “Waterfall”. En junio de 2017 MenEnd sacó un single pop de verano; “Back to the City”enel que añade por primera vez lyrics en español. La canción tuvo gran éxito alcanzando cerca de 100.000 reproducciones en Spotify. Durante el verano de 2017 MenEnd también sacó colaboraciones con Arcando, Toniia y VMK, las cuales han alcanzado un total de 2 millones de reproducciones online.
